About Us

Tucker Stine, Founder and Chief Ideator of PlaceMake, is a visionary and results-driven2019 Headshot full 2 marketing and community development strategist with over 25 years of experience in building great places, developing effective marketing and placemaking strategies and creating loyalty programs for developers, home builders, cultural institutions, non-profits and lifestyle brands.

He has consulted for a variety of companies in California, Arizona, Montana, Nevada, Colorado, Massachusetts and Mexico, including over two dozen master planned communities, luxury properties and resort destinations in both urban and suburban markets, as well as non-profits, emerging schools, colleges, universities and civic-minded institutions.

Tucker graduated from Boston College with a B.S. in Business, Marketing and Consumer Behavior and attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business’ Executive Education Program for Strategic Marketing Management.  He has received numerous awards for sales and marketing and has served on the Executive Management Committee for the Urban Land Institute of San Diego/Tijuana as Chair of the Communications Committee and  the Community Development Council for ULI at the national level.

In addition, Tucker has served as the Marketing/Communications Team Lead and Speaker Coach for TEDxSanDiego for the past 8 years and was elected to the Board of Directors for the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District in 2012.  Education is also a huge passion for him.  He currently serves as a Trustee for Epiphany Charter Schools in San Diego and is on the School Advisory Board for The Nativity School in Rancho Santa Fe.

In his spare time, Tucker enjoys spending it with his wife of 20 years and his two kids who actually share the same birthday, three years apart.  He knows how to plan!
